It was Chris Wolford who put that hit on Adam Prater of Pike Central, downright vicious hit that echoed through Death Valley!
For my money, the most unbelievable football contact I have seen had to be that Doug Howard stiff arm on Joe Blackburn of Pburg. Blackburn wa s a stocky/tough kid, and when Howard hit him it was like he got shot with a cannon.
I really felt bad for Blackburn because later that season WYMT honored him as the mountain player of the week, but 75% of his video clip was spent talking about the Doug Howard stuff arm as they showed it over and over HAHA

Didn't that hit put Adam Prater out for the season?

1995 Andar Niece from Estill Co. hit a running back from Corbin on 4th and 1. I think the kids last name was Bargo. Niece flat backed the kid for a 3 yard loss, no doubt the best high school hit I have ever seen. :redboxer:

it think one of the hardest hits in the nfl was last year in the playoffs when the saints was playin the eagles. reggie bush was goin out for a pass and jus got leveled....it was nasty. now back to high school. i think the worst two hits came from the powell russell game this past season when they knocked out both qbs. they jus drove both qbs in the ground. i think both got concussions and one couldnt even remember the day, or his own name. it was nasty.

Actually what a coincidence I was that back wow....and no I didn’t go off on a stretcher and yes I came back in and played the rest of the game...

I recall Robin Chaney from Boyd Co.(he went on to play LB for U.K.) back in 1973 or 74 getting knocked out cold on a kick off by a player from… I believe Belfry. Chaney kicked the ball off and before he could look up the Belfry kid way laid him.

Ok for the record, i have never seen anybody lay josh out. josh is literally my non related brother and for you to say that you could do that just makes me want to laugh until i cant breath. he also had a hit against merger in which as soon as he hit the rb it dislocated the guys shoulders. have you ever done that?.......I didnt think so

Incredible hit! Merger Co was like, "Oh no what have we gotten ourselves into here. These guys are animals!"
