If Vick is done as a Falcon.............

It is funny that he was supposed to be a defensive guy, yet that has been the weak link on all his Bengals teams. If the team finishes .500 again this year (which I don't think they'll do), there will most definitely be some changes in the coaching staff. At the very least the defensive coordinator (Bresnahan), if not Lewis himself.
Marvin's NOT on the hotseat.......... not at all. I've always loved the Bengals, but they were pretty bad before he took over. I do agree that he should have gotten a better defensive coordinator, but, if anything, Bresnahan would be gone, NOT Lewis. Marvin turned around a horrible franchise (at the time) and made it a respectable one.

I need to apologize, I read your post and thought you said that they would finish below .500........... I was very mad......... I threw a full cup of Sunkist and kicked my dog........... I was very mad

I also wonder how a former D coordinator on a great defensive team like the Ravens would have a horrible D as a head coach.

There's no way that they'll have less than 11 wins- their division is usually the best in football, but might be down this year, and the Bengals are good. Their schedule's also a lot friendlier than last year when they struggled and still finished 88, and it very easily could have been 9-7, 10-6, or 11-5.

You should have read enough of my posts on here by now to know that I wouldn't be predicting that bad of a season for the Bengals! Smile

I have actually always stayed firm to my forecast that they will finish 12-4, win the division, and could make a good playoff run depending on matchups. I did a little dance when I saw their schedule for this year, very manageable, not like the meat-grinder they had last year.

However, I do think that Marvin's honeymoon period is over, and the Cincy fans expect at least a playoff berth this year. I know they were terrible before he took over, and he has totally changed the culture of losing, but now the fans expect more. In years past we would have been giddy with a .500 season, but now we know that this team is capable of better things, and another .500 year would be a major disappointment. I don't think it will happen, but if it did you can be sure Marvin's seat would be getting very warm. I doubt they would give him the axe, but he probably would be forced to make some staff changes, most likely firing Bresnahan. Plus Marvin has to bear some of the responsibility, since he hires the assistants himself.

Well even if he is gone, Petrino won't let them be bad... but he might do it on purpose to get a former QB of his in Atl... Brian Brohm?? I don't know that Vick is going to prison there is a lot of circumstantial evidence, him owning the property and such, the electrical wires at the house... but nothing that ever indicated that he was ever a participant... he may have known about it but that doesnt mean he did it... not that I am a Vick or Falcons fan, this case just may not be as cut and dry as it seems...

I believe I've heard that they have witnesses that saw Vick at the fights, and even murdered two dogs (could be wrong, might be more) that didn't perform well.

If Vick is suspended and possibly serves a year or two in the big house, someone will take a chance on him, but he'll never be the same.

Vick will never throw another pass (not that he threw that many anyway) in an Atlanta uniform again.

I disagree.

If Vick is convicted, he will go to prison. After he gets out, any team that signs him will be a lightning rod for criticism and mass public protests on game day. For that reason, a conviction will end his football career. No NFL or CFL team would take that chance.
