Putnam Stadium
#1
The field turf is completed and new lights are installed. Ashland will host Harvest Prep in 2 weeks.

This truly is the best stadium in the state. Corbin might have an argument but this is the gold standard.

Glad they finally quit listening to the Ashland old-heads and got with the times. Looks great.

Didn't they have checkerboard end zones before? If so, why did they get rid of them after moving to turf?
Field looks nice.

Corbin still don’t have new stadium seats.

I would say money. It’s not a cheap design for them checkerboards. It does look nice and it will look nice for years to come

Knott Central’s Dr. Gene T. Watts Stadium is as nice as any in state.

Whitley County has the nicest campus. Maybe we can get a few millions donated for more upgrades Smile

Checkerboard end zones were just too much money and I’m sure there may be nicer stadiums but Putnam is the best place by far to watch a game. Equal seating for all the seating is elevated 6 feet off the field and no track around the field so your within feet of the action. Just can’t beat watching football their.

The only bad thing about Putnam is hot August games. There is zero air that circulates in that place. Once you get past the first few weeks it gets much better

It’s not Putnam stadium anymore. It’s PUMP N SHOP FIELD! The tomcats sold their souls for turf.

Putnam is an icon, whether its grass or turf makes no difference. Super proud to have it in our area. It truly epitomizes high school football.

I heard Ashland received eleventy-billion dollars for the naming rights.
