Prestonsburg @ Knott Co. Central 10/25
#1
Blackcats travel to Hindman where it'll be senior night and I've even heard it'll be homecoming also for the Patriots, which makes for a long night for both football teams.

Prestonsburg needs to look at this game like it is, this is the district championship game. If you win, you're district champs for the first time since 2017 and you get to hang a banner sign and make the shirts. Lose, you're in a 3 way tie with Knott and Martin County.

I'm hoping the Blackcats leave absolutely zero doubt and put on a championship worthy performance at Knott Friday night.

Go Blackcats!

Running clock for prestonsburg. Be over before halftime

Over by halftime, but I don’t see a running clock until the 4th quarter. Prestonsburg will sub in young players early.

Liable to be a long night in many ways in Hindman if it's indeed both senior night & homecoming.

It's great to see Knott Central having the season they've had after all the devastation that the town & whole county has been through the last few years, and still trying to recover. That team has given the community a sense of pride & hope, something to believe in.

Prestonsburg having arguably one of the best seasons in program history, and that's saying something with the tradition that program has. I've said it in previous posts, but credit needs to be given to Hager and the rest of his coaching staff, because this is basically the same team as last season, didn't have very many seniors, and don't this year either, but the whole staff have established a new culture, and that's exactly where it starts. You can tell the leaders of this team (Harris & Elliott) bought in pretty quickly, and when you can get your top players to buy in, it's only going to trickle down.

With all that being said, I think Prestonsburg continues their winning ways and continues their undefeated season.

Prestonsburg-36

Since Martin County put a running clock on Knott County in an absolute route in the first quarter last week. I would look for the Blackcats to try and send a similar message of dominance over a common district foe. Look for this one to be over in a hurry with a running clock early...

Blackcats - 54
Knott - 6

Homecoming, but will be before game. It's being held this Friday because, Morgan County dropped week 5 game when Homecoming was originally scheduled. Senior Night has already taken place. Welcome to our new Dr. Gene T. Watts Stadium.

Pburg has running clock on them. MC came out running the old style offense and dominated them quick. Pburg may have a wake up call the next week with Breahitt

And if it’s a wake up call, then that might work out in their favor. Seems like PBurg gave Martin County a wake up call.
