Frederick Douglass will travel to Trinity for the 2nd straight season with a trip to the State Championship on the line. The Broncos lost in OT 14-7 at Trinity last year. Trinity leads the series 2-1. Both teams did not play their best in the regional championship games tonight but made the plays when needed to win by double digits. Douglass to pull off the win the Broncos will need to control the game with their ground game.

The Broncos with the 36-6 win over Madison Central won their 6th straight regional championship in their 8 seasons as a program. Trinity is going for back-to-back 6A state titles.

Douglass by 7. Ryle and Douglass would make for a better 6A final then having Trinity make it once again
