The Greenup County job was posted this afternoon on the district's website.

Have seen what they have at the jr high level. Be hard to give that job away

Hearing a highly respected young canidate has applied. The kind of hire that could totally turn a program around.

Who is the young candidate? If they’re interested, they wouldn’t mind it being out there.

I keep hearing Jordan Brangers will get this position.

Greenup needs stability. Arguably they haven't had it since the Randy Ward days. I believe three coaches in the last 5 or 6 years? That's not a winning formula for any program. I don't know the inner workings but something is amiss. They have one of my favorite high school gym's but the atmosphere is just not there anymore. I would love to see it return. I'm on the outside looking in so I don't have answers but I sure hope they find some.

Jordan Brangers should get this position. Young coach that will bring good competitive basketball back to Greenup. The skill development alone would be valuable. High level dude that GC would be crazy not to hire. Greenup tends to hire people that are safe and local from what I have seen. They need a new coach and a new AD. Start fresh and get some excitement back to the program. We will see. I just hope the hiring committee doesn’t screw it up like that have in the recent past.

The young coach listed would be a great hire, but would he bring stability to the program? My thoughts would be he would be looking to move to greener pastures ASAP.
Greenup Co has been bad since R. Ward days.
I heard this also about2 weeks ago.

Greenup could do a lot better than Brangers. Will they? That’s a different story but they could do better.

Steve let it go. I know you live there but you moved your kid out. I would not even consider JB as a coach. Maybe a great skills guy, trainer, but that doesn’t make you a good coach. A lot more goes into coaching. Plus he comes with his own set of issues I hear!
