Derifield breaks the single-season, stolen bases record for Lawrence County, breaking previous record of 39 held by Shane Pack from 2010. Derifield is a stellar-athlete, on the diamond and gridiron. Big things to come for him! Congratulations!

That is insanely impressive record to set as a freshman when your speed is probably nowhere near its peak. I just looked at his stats and he is hitting .402 with 40/41 on steal attempts. Lawrence is going to have a star on their hands moving forward

I was really impressed with Gray Derifield over the course of the regional tournament. Really smart player for a freshman. Lawrence has a star on their hands for the next couple of seasons.
