Johnson Central 5 Lawrence Co 2 (15th Region Championship)

Congrats to Johnson Central.

Congratulations to the Golden Eagles on another regional championship. This was the 8th championship with Coach Hall at the helm and his 499th win for JC. Brayden Shepherd had one heck of a week and Dawson Montgomery was so gutsy on the mound this week. JC will play Spencer County in the first round of the State Tournament.

Great season to the Lawrence County Bulldogs. They had to go through the gauntlet this week against beating Paintsville and then Pikeville. They were down to their #4 pitcher on a team that only has 4 pitchers. Eli Fletcher gave everything he had. 6 and 1/3 innings with 121 pitches but he was able to keep the Bulldogs in the game.

JC baseball has had a great run over the past 21 seasons...... Shawn Hall, along with the numerous asst. coaches and the players that have worn the Black & Gold during his tenure have created a Dynasty that so many people take pride in.

2004 - Final Four (Lost to eventual State Champions; Christian County)
2007 (Lost to eventual State Champions; Paul L. Dunbar)
2014 - Elite Eight (Lost to eventual State Champions; St. Xavier)
2016 - Elite Eight
2017
2021
2022
2025 - TBD

With the Johnson County Cal Ripken league, the JC middle school & Frosh/JV feeder programs.... a Baseball Team State Championship is last land to conquer.

Congrats JC!

Pulp said it very well about JC baseball.  Coach Hall also won two regional championships as a player at JC, at least 2 as a player, maybe more.

I love the county Cal Ripken League.  Been a supporter of that for year's.  It's a great way for young players to learn the game of baseball.  It makes a difference.

Yes congrats to JC and good luck in Lexington. Great run by Feltner and Lawrence. Both great coaches
