Facebook Marketplace
#1
I don’t do social media anymore. Feel so much better about my life now that I don’t   Smile

Every now and then I will slip on Miss Kongs FB and check out market place.  Alot of good stuff for sale on there. But why does the best deals on stuff have to be like 4-6 hours + away? It's like the same stuff closer by is priced like it's gold or something Lol

I've messaged people about some stuff they've had for sale on there in the past. No reply back. Except for once I got a reply back. I messaged a lady about a John Deer riding mower she had. Her reply said, Oh honey I sold this thing months ago! Lol I've had no luck getting anything on market place.

Have any of you ever sold or bought anything from market place? Or tried to?

If so hopefully you've had better luck than Ole Kong here has Smile

My oldest son has bought and sold several things on Marketplace. My youngest son has bought a couple of surf boards from Marketplace, he also has tried to sell items on there. He did not have the same success as my oldest son. I tried to sell a car, O had lots of inquiries but I was not successful, I ended up selling my car to Car Max. I was successful at selling a fish tank.
I personally don't try to buy anything on Marketplace because I don't really trust people I don't know.

That's a good point there about not really trusting people you don't know, I'm the same way.  I've never tried to sell anything on there. Would like to find a lot of about 100 fishing poles for dirt cheap Lol

Bought the car I am currently driving on there. Ford Explorer, only 174,000 miles, brand new tires(probably $1200 of new rubber), runs like a dream, one owner. Got it for $1,500 from an older gentleman who bought it new , more than two decades ago. It was the first and only time I've ever been on FB Marketplace.

That was a sweet deal OSH!

I've got a Ford, I've had it for close to 25 years now. Drive it almost daily. Got about 230,000 miles on it.

I've bought a low of stuff on marketplace and sold a lot of stuff on marketplace. Not quite like my uncle or dad who literally spend hours on marketplace trying to find items or sell them. They got cash flow to blow unlike myself. One thing that I have learned from marketplace is if there's an item that you really want you better act quickly because I guarantee you aren't the only person looking at that item ready to pull the trigger.
If you need any assistance or want to report a problem feel free to PM me and we will get it taken care of!  Thank you for choosing to be apart of the BGR community!

Your right Spud, there's plenty of competition out there looking and wanting the same stuff.  I'm glad you've had some luck on there. I've got a brother that's bought and sold stuff on there. He's had good luck on there to. Idk what I've been doing wrong Lol

I collect the 80s WWF LJN figures and a few months back a friend sent me a link to someone selling a lot of those some 15 minutes from my house. Later that day, those came home with me. I'll always love Facebook Marketplace for that very reason.

Speaking of wrestling collections and such, I've got one of those replica championship bets. Myself along with one of my brother in laws and some others, we'd have staged wrestling matches in my yard. We'd pic a wrestling character and come out to the their theme song playing and we'd try to dress the part. We'd know who was winning before we went out.

An old truck I has we'd climb up on it like it was the ropes of the ring and jump off while the other person was lying on the ground! Always made sure we missed by a pretty significant margin. That's why I got the belt, someone would be the champion.  We also used fake blood capsules Lol

Now day's that belt just hangs in my building.  My younger nieces and nephews have asked me how I got it. I told them I was a past championship wrestler.  Who beat the likes of Rick Flair, The Undertaker, and more. They don't believe it for one second, they see right thru me and my crap  Smile  We also recorded some of our matches.  Got some of the goofiest videos that ever was  Big Grin
