Best Backfield in the Mountains

IMO, when you say backfield you mean the fullback(s) and runningback(s), not quarterbacks.

Actually, Belfry is usually >90/10 while Prestonsburg is closer to 75/25. But really, neither team would have much chance vs. an opponent that took away its ground game.

It's going to be tough with a new coach in a new system after last year's heavy graduation losses.

Hope you're right. It would be a very pleasant surprise to see the Tigers put some good numbers up this year.

As far as Paintsville's backs...hope they get better blocking than they have over the last couple of years.

Breathitt Co has the 2nd best backfield behind Belfry in the Mts. IMO..Channing Fugate is a stud in the backfield!

Middlesboro! All Stater Hunter Adams 6'2 176lbs returns for his senior season, he runs a 40 in 5.55. Hunter rushed for 1,100 yards last season as a QB so you can figure about 2,000 yards this year coming out of the I formation. He will be running behind a huge O-Line this year. Here's a updated Roster for Middlesboro's Big Men just came out in the paper today.

OL/DL Jefferey Poe 6'1 285
OL/DL Ronnie Johnson 6'0 249
C/DL Devon Akers 6'0 253
OL/DL John Strunk 6'2 309
OL/NGCameron Kyle 6'1 300
OL/DL Bobby Partin 5'10 275

Im going with Breathitt. With Channing Fugate and Jade Haddix. Channing runs about a 4.55 in the 40 and Haddix runs about a 4.6. Both of these player have it all. Channing is big and strong and then Haddix has the ability to run or pass the ball.
