Madisonville North Hopkins Needs A Coach
#1
will weaver who when he got the job, told the kids that he would be here for atleast 5yrs,now after 2yrs he is gone to mercer county, madisonville has got kids that can play they just need a coach who will stay....who would be a good fit here?

Coach Weaver left them high and dry this late in the season.
#3
Any coach worth his salt wouldn't leave a team this late in the season.

Tough situation for Madisonville. It's a revolving door there with a slew of coaches over the last 5-6 years.

What a shame for the kids. We went through this at Campbell County a few years ago and the Seniors ran the summer practices until a coach was hired. What a shame for the kids at Madisonville

yea it is,i grew up here and moved to belfry for 8yrs yrs beofore returning this year...i work with a guy whos son plays for them,he said weaver was offered 15,000 dollars more a year, his wife wasnt happy here and,the only one who was behind him was the principal and he is no longer there, because of health reasons i belive,i dont care who you are its bad to them a team high and dry ,with not much time before they start,ANOTHER THING THAT HAPPEN,is when he got done telling them he was gone he didnt stay around to let the people or kids say good bye, thats sad,he had to get back to mercer county...

Coaching today is no different than any other cooporate job. There are very few adults on here that would turn down a pay raise to stay at a place that they didn't feel like there was that much support, just because they didn't want the people that worked for them to have to find a new coach. It is up to the administration to find someone to replace coach weaver. This could be resolved by anyone interviewing a potential coach this late in the year to only offer the job to someone who is not currently a head coach some place else. Sure whoever is hired anywhere this late is going to be a little behind but lets be realistic almost every school in the state regardless of whether your coach has been there 20 years or 20 days will start on July 15th and will have the a month of practices to get thier kids ready to play a game. MNHHS can ease the transition and promote someone from within. There are a couple of schools in Jefferson County that have been open for months and as far as I know still don't have a HC (PRP, Iriquois) Atherton just hired a coach as well as Union County. Trust me they won't cancel the season.

So now Weaver goes back to Madisonville and leaves Mercer Co high and dry? What the heck is going on with him?:wtf1:
#9
he said he made a commitment to the kids and when he got to mercer he said he couldnt sleep and those wasnt his boys,so he came back...
#10
Wow, what do you think of that? Kind of turned his back on both teams at one point or another.
#11
yea he did, bad of both points,i know the kids here really like him.
