Jenkins traveled to Clinton County saturday night. They scrimmaged both Adair County and Clinton County. Jenkins lost both scrimmages, but played outstanding. They showed alot of heart. And as you can see on the field coach Maggard and coach Colwell are doing one heck of a job with these boys. I see them beating some teams on their schedule this year that people thought they wouldn't. They have the talent. And can go far into the bench with fresh bodies. Jenkins has 40 on their roster this year. They are someone to watch if there on your schedule. Jenkins is on track to be a good football team this year. There first battle will be phelps this friday night. GO BIG GREEN!!

Hopefully they found some kinks that needs to be worked out and can work on those during this practice week. BEST OF LUCK AGAINST PHELPS!

I am not at all familiar with Adair County and Clinton County football programs. How are they projected to do this season? Was this even competition for Jenkins or was they stronger programs?

This year will be a slow one, but let the Cavs get in a winter conditioning in, a spring practice, and a passing league and you will see a difference next year.

Adair County is in 3A. Traditionally they have never been real good or even close to that, typically once ever few years they have a winning season. However, they have greatly improved in the last two years. Their new head coach is in his 2nd year, and spent almost 20 years at Campbellsville University as a long time assistant coach. They went 4-6 last year. And, this year, it wouldn't be too far fetched for them to win their district (Butler County, Hart County, Edmonson County and Russellville).
Clinton County is in 1A. They have only had a program for three/four years. Like most new programs, they have struggled, but word is that this year they could possibly push their district foes (Campbellsville, Lynn Camp, Berea, Williamsburg) for a playoff spot.
