My Samsung A737 recently had the microphone go out in it and just my luck, it's out of warranty.
Someone gave me a Samsung T301G as a replacement, but this phone asks for a "Phone Lock" code when I power it on.
Anyone know how to bypass this? The old user doesn't know the code either.

Have you tried googling samsung unlock codes.
I used to get them for free all of the time for Nokia phones. Maybe Samsung is the same. I do know that Motorola cannot be unlocked using codes. They require special software to unlock them.

I have been Googling for an hour and can't seem to find anything.
I have gotten the phone itself unlocked now, but when I put in my AT&T sim card it says "Sim card not valid"

Is this phone compatible with AT&T... If not then of course your sim card wont work in it.

It's not an AT&T phone, but I know that phones can be unlocked. Usually you have to pay for a network unlock code online (or take it to the store and have them reset it it) but I was trying to bypass that.

To unlock it, you must use the key.
Does that help?

I wish it did.
However, I have found a very old Cingular phone that appears will work with my sim card. Only problem now...I need a power cord for it.
Off to Wal-Mart. :yikes:
