I would like to say Phelps is a much improved team from last year. They played hard for 4 quarters and that is all you can ask for from a group of boys. I would like to say that the refs were just plain AWFUL. I have never seen so many obvious calls that were not called. The refs that were there 2 year ago were a lot better, they let the boys play and didn't act like their were "fans" on the field.

Phelps was vastly improved from last year and had size and speed...I agree about the ref's,Phelps # 64 on offense ws pulling defenders down by the jersey all night and I only saw it called twice..The line judge ruled a kick off down because the ball was touched which it's a live ball....But besides that I thought both teams played well Phelps has some athletes as well as Hurley..The nose tackle from Hurley was either double or triple teamed every play and the kid kept bringing it..I saw him all over the field making plays on both sides of the ball. The QB and Wide Out from Hurley where begining to click too if theyd done so earlier this one could of been uglier..But my hats off to both the teams and I dont think youve heard the last from Phelps..I think there playoff team.

I didnt expect this game too turn out the way it did. I knew Hurley was coming in with a 4-1 record(only loss coming too East Ridge). I didnt get too attend this game but from what I heard the Hornet defense couldnt contain the Jet Motion attack from #21 of Hurley.
