The west has a strong chance to win classes 1-4A with the following teams likely to make it to the finals or win it.
Class A: Mayfield
Class AA: Fort Campbell
Class AAA: Paducah Tilghman
Class AAAA: Lone Oak
Class AAAAA: Christian CO.?
it could happen

Could but won't. No way Lone Oak beats Bell or Boyle. Just my opinion.

Ft. Campbell has best chance. Christian won't win it. Neither will Tilghman. Just my opinion.

i would bet money that tilghman does, especially with central loosing tim patterson and chris king. no one from the east will have that speed or atheletism

Mayfield & Fort Campbell have the best shots.

The end of the road for Christian County will be this Friday. I don't see them getting past Bowling Green.

I think whoever comes out of the east will represent the east just fine in Bowling Green in 3A.
Ft Cambell Great Chance
Mayfield has a chance
Lone Oak no chance (not because they arent' any good it's just Boyle, Bell and Lex Cath are better)
Christian County? Did Highlands decide not to enter the playoffs?
BTW what happened to Patterson and King?

Not that I necessarily disagree but I must pointout that LO has already beat Lex Cath. I do think Boyle and Bell are head and shoulders favorites to win it though

1A. LCA. I would like to see Mayfield vs Hazard in this game.
I like your 2A pick.
3A I have to go with Somerset
4A Boyle Co. No matter if it is Bell Co. or Boyle Co. Lone Oak can't beat either one of them. Lone Oak will get beat this firday night Allen Co.-Scottsville
5A Highland will be the team to beat in 5A for a long time.

Unless the rumors are true about them being 4A in 2010.:eyeroll:

There is no way anyone from the west can beat Highlands.

Highlands is 3A right now and they are playing 5A so why would they move to 4A? They will stay right were they are because of travel.

Maybe A
For sure AA
No way for any of the rest!

Ft. Campbell has the best chance to win out. The rest would be a serious stretch to look at as winning out. 4a-5a is definitely out!

Paducah Tilghman wont make it.

Mayfield has a chance, but the championship still has to go through Beechwood. I don't see Mayfield matching up with the depth of the Tigers

Fort Campbell is a lock to win. Lone Oak can make it to the finals, don't know if they will win it all. Mayfield should make it to the finals and is very explosive. Christian County might beat Bowling Green but could as easily lose. Tilghman and Russellville should be closely matched. Due to injuries at Central, I think 3A is more open than it was. Interesting times in 3A.

Best chance is FC and it is a pretty good chance. Second best chance is Mayfield and I think they will have a great chance getting there but Lex Christian will be a tough out for Mayfield. Third I think is LO who has a pretty good chance at getting there but like Mayfield will be a heavy underdog to win it. I would live to see PT go and they are playing better but are capable of not showing up. Christian I would alsolove to see make it with their Mayfield alum coach but they are a long long long shot

While I think it is highly likely that they do win it, NewCath and Prestonburg will have something to say before its all over with...

Just because Union Co, lost don't be claiming the team that beat them to win it all. I think FC has the best shot to sweep but Prestonsburg and Corbin are tough teams also and the rest will be good games! No locks!!!

i agree 100percent with this post, but thats why you play the game ANYTHING can happen...

There's no way thats going to happen! There are too many good teams from other parts of the state!

Lex Cath is playing much better now and nearly upset Trinity 3 weeks ago losing 13-14.

I do not doubt they are playing better as their results point out. The only thing I would point out about the earlier LO-Lex Cath game is that it took a bit of trickery and luck for Lex Cath to make it close at the end. LO had them down by several scores late before a miracle td, a successful onside kick ect made a game of it. I do think it might be a different game today myself
