REVISED: eNews: 5 easy ways you can say 'thanks' to a co-worke
#1
A very important revision has been made to the eNews article on how to reward co-workers:

5 easy ways you can say 'thanks' to a co-worker
When was the last time you showed appreciation to a peer?

And the survey says...
At the CCS All-Associate Meetings last December, leaders asked employees how they like to be recognized. The results may not be what you expected. An overwhelming majority of the attendees said that a simple 'thank you' was one of the most meaningful ways to be recognized in the workplace.

There are hundreds of ways to say 'thank you' and show your co-worker that you appreciate their extra effort with little to no cost.

Here are five easy ideas you can start today:

Write a letter of thanks. GIVE THEM MONEY
Maybe you're better at expressing your thoughts by writing them out. Or, maybe you just get nervous conveying your feelings face-to-face. Try writing a quick 'thank you' note to someone the next time you want to show your appreciation. It's something the recipient can hold on to or even display in their work area as a positive reminder of a job well-done.

Bring in snacks. GIVE THEM MONEY
It's amazing how food can bring people together. Pick up doughnuts on your way to work or offer to take a co-worker to lunch just to let them know how much you appreciate their support.

Send a note to their manager. GIVE THEM MONEY
Being recognized for doing outstanding work feels good. And knowing the good word is also passed along to your manager feels great. If someone goes above and beyond, take a minute to send a note to their manager. And if you're a manager and receive positive feedback for one of your employees, be sure to recognize that person.

Display recognition in your work area. GIVE THEM MONEY
In many of the CTS Operations areas, teams have started "thank you boards" to post messages thanking co-workers or recognizing a peer. A visual reminder of the great teamwork taking place each day is an easy and fun way to boost morale.

Organize a potluck lunch. GIVE THEM MONEY
Celebrating the successful completion of a project by taking the team out to lunch on Fidelity's tab may not be an option. But it doesn't mean you shouldn't have a "time-out" to recognize everyone's hard work. Reserve a conference room and have everyone bring in a dish. It's a cheap and fun way to celebrate successes and fosters a positive working environment.
