Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Chyna, and Rick Rude were the original D-X.

Rude left for WCW...

Then after Michaels lost at Wrestlemania 14 to Stone Cold...Triple H took over leadership of D-X, kicked Michaels out of the group.

Then it was Triple H who recruited X-Pac & The New Age Outlaws.
