7. Kansas (bad game vs Villinova, but this team is for real)
8. Wake Forest (The only other real contender in the ACC)
9. Gonzaga (has one on the road vs some tough comp and won) very touch schd deserves to be rewarded.
10. Louisville (lost two heartbreaking on road at UK and Houton.


Duke does not make my list as I feel they are a pretender..I dont even think they have played a rank team..

Uh oh. I think we may have a Duke fan in the midst.

I believe the only win Duke had against an opponent that was ranked at the time was against Michigan State. NC State nor Oklahoma were ranked at the time of their games.

I don't put much into the rankings, although I feel Duke definately isn't a #2 team. IMO Wake and UNC are still much better teams, and will prove that when they play.

And on the note of rankings, I don't think UK should be ranked ahead of Kansas in the coaches poll.

The rankings usually work by default. If you lose and someone below you wins, they move ahead of you. I'm still surprised Illinois moved Kansas out of 1st place early in the year. That was a rare occurance.

What would be better, IMO, is if they would do a complete re-ranking of the teams come, say, January and the end of conference play. I believe that would give a much fairer representation of the teams abilities.
