Or we could just take over every country in the middle east and have free gas for a long time:biggrin:
Didn't we try that?

Stardust Wrote:That has been rumored several times in the past. Just like a few years ago when gas reached $4, the democrats finally conceded to Bush to allow increased production of the US wells, and that started the decline in fuel costs. I expect that if we head to the $4 range, now that there is Conservative leadership, you will see an increase in US production again.
I wonder why it was so cheap under clinton?

My local is supposed to help build a coal/gasification plant in Mingo county starting later on this year. That is a plant that turns coal to gas. As of now, it is a go. Some Italian company is building it. Hopefully it won't get scratched. It is supposed to make 18,000 barrels of gas a day. That should drive down prices in this area.

Get ready for $5/gal. gasoline if Egypt falls to the Muslim Brotherhood. Prices should start climbing any day if they have not already started to creep up.

If things don't stabilize soon over there - gas $3.50 coming , over $4 by the summer. Lack of domestic drilling will come back to haunt us if things continue down this path. If the violence spreads to other countries it could get even worst. Tunisia, now Egypt, is Saudi Arabia next? Then you fall into what type or who's going to be in charge. It's going to get uglier before it gets better.
