I think the deepest pitching staff will come from Ashland. Boyd County will have a Ace as good as anyones with Salisbury. Greenup County will by far be the youngest team they have had in years. If they develop throughout the year could be the most dangerous team by tournament time. Raceland seems to have worked on their field and have got the boys into a winter program this year and should show positive improvements with Coach Hoof as full time baseball coach only. Russell is well a football school and that will probably not change. Fairview will have a little pop with Bam Bam but not enuff supporting staff the make a run. East Carter will need to improve on defense to put up some solid games. So if i were to make a list it would look like this.

Raceland
Fairview
East Carter
Russell

One of those 4 teams will win it. They are the only schools to win it in the last 10 years, and have won like 16 of the last 18 or so. Russell is a sleeper, no real ace though. Rowan and Fleming could upset someone too.

only lost 2 players from last year and made it to the semi finals of the region..

You asked about Bath. To me they dont have much of a history. Last year they go 12&19 and the year before 10&20. I think the got hot at just the right time and fizzled fast. I think Cable Wright has one bad game and their sitting at the house in the districts.

Heard he blew an ACL, if so what would be his recovery time? He might not play this year.

Somewhere from 7 to 9 months of Rehab. And that can depend on alot of other factors.

Is there any truth on the kid from Bath Co. I hope the kid is alright, he is a great player. If he is out that opens up the all-a in that region.

Yes cable wright did tear his ACL.
And I've heard his plans are to be back and pitch in the first round of districts. Won't be able to do anything else but pitch if rehab and all goes the way it's supposed to. But with him out all a region is open to and any of these 4 teams will win it (bath,Morgan,fairview,raceland

No talk about Lewis? New coach has came in and set up a good offseason program right now and all the boys are working hard. They have a good senior class and that could win them the district over Greenup or Russell.

I can see your point about East Carter rated above Raceland and Fairview. But by no means 3rd in the 16th. Haveing no problem with their district is a annual event but the region has alot better teams.
