Joe Manley, Lineman/Bowling Green
#1
One of the state’s largest players, Manley built a reputation because of attention from colleges and then had a standout senior season.

The 6-foot-6, 320-pound Manley was the anchor for a line that helped pave the way to an undefeated season and Class 5-A state title. Bowling Green scored 739 points and amassed nearly 6,000 yards of offense, including 3,357 rushing.

“He really did improve a whole lot,” Bowling Green coach Kevin Wallace said. “But that’s typical of big young linemen; it takes them awhile to come around all the way. But I really think his best football is ahead of him. He just has a good personality about him, and he really worked at it this year.”

Manley has committed to the University of Louisville. He’ll sign in February.
