One of the stateâs largest players, Manley built a reputation because of attention from colleges and then had a standout senior season.
The 6-foot-6, 320-pound Manley was the anchor for a line that helped pave the way to an undefeated season and Class 5-A state title. Bowling Green scored 739 points and amassed nearly 6,000 yards of offense, including 3,357 rushing.
âHe really did improve a whole lot,â Bowling Green coach Kevin Wallace said. âBut thatâs typical of big young linemen; it takes them awhile to come around all the way. But I really think his best football is ahead of him. He just has a good personality about him, and he really worked at it this year.â
Manley has committed to the University of Louisville. Heâll sign in February.
