Hot mic: Obama begs Russians for ‘space’ on missile defense talks
#1
For those among us who believe that it makes no difference whether a Republican or a Obama wins the White House in November, I offer the following exhibit. Obama's election will be a disaster for our national security. What other radical action does Obama plan to take in a second term?

Quote:Hot mic: Obama begs Russians for ‘space’ on missile defense talks

The United States does not need to protect itself from the threat of ballistic missiles right now. At least that is what President Obama suggests with his recent exchange between himself and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev during the 2012 Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul.

The exchange was as follows:

Quote:President Obama: “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space.”

President Medvedev: “Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you.…”

President Obama: “This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.”

President Medvedev: “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir [Putin].”

The United States and its allies remain unprotected from a threat of ballistic missiles while North Korea is preparing to launch yet another long-range missile. By conceding to Russian demands on missile defense, the Administration has made the situation even worse. Yet this is exactly what President is planning on doing if he gets re-elected.

He only thinks of himself and his re-election. I'm beginning to despise our President.

You are nothing more than a Ron Paul echo chamber. From Ron's lips to your finger tips. Do you ever wonder why most of Paul's ardent supporters are college kids? Most of them mature into thinking adults when they get a taste of the real world.

So....most college students are liberal until they learn better, or are hardcore conservatives until they learn better? You've got to make up your mind.

Another post misread and mischaracterized. How predictable you are, RV.

Well, in one post you say most college kids are liberal until they learn better, then they turn conservative, then in another you say most of the ultra conservative Ron Paul's voters are college kids.

Ron Paul's core supporters are college kids but most college kids are not Ron Paul supporters. The two statements are not mutually exclusive and the two statements are both true. There are far more college students than there are Ron Paul supporters. If you still do not understand, then I gave it my best shot. Maybe somebody else can explain the math to you better than I can.

I guess the two quotes that I gave that Washington and Adams dealing with foreign affairs are no more than just ramblings of a college kid...

The "make love not war" philosophy is the work product, and passed down legacy, of doped-up hippies of the 60's era and is decidedly liberal in origin. It is a sublimely simple minded anti logic that only makes sense to college kids, and plays well in the liberal classroom and clam bakes on New England sea shores while in the background some bozo trys to play a guitar and sing Peter Paul and Mary folk songs.

Nobody likes to think of war or go to war. The problem is America must go to war to stay free. Of the 40 some odd wars going on across the globe right now we are involved in three, with the real threat of N Korea, and Iran on the horizon. Military leaders tried to warn the Washington elite of the dangers posed by Iran over a dacade ago but, they would have none of it. Peace is a wonderful prospect and we get to enjoy it sometimes but, other times we must go to war with those who would destroy us. And FWIW, one of the differences you think doesn't exist between the parties is the very notable bent Dems have first under Clinton, and now Obama, to disarm us to a bare bones ability of America to defend herself, the republicans know we need a strong defense and would never do that.

tvtimeout if you would pass these war mongers a joint maybe you can turn them toward peace. Meanwhile, in the real world, it takes bombs, guns and soldiers to keep the wolves from our door. Nobody likes that, but, that's the way it is. It's called national defense, and it is the ONLY thing that let's you step out in the morning and breathe in the sweet, and free, summer air. And since you like to quote the founding fathers so much how about this little ditty from the 1st Article of the US Constitution Section 8: "The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States". National defense is one of the
prime provisions of the federal government. The Department of Defense is a far better judge of what we need to do to defend ourselves than a bunch of blitzed bozos who think they know it all.

On the very day one or more of our enemies in the world think we are weak enough, or vunerable enough, to be conquered they will give it their all. Let me borrow your words, "in simple terms" voting for one of your college day idyllic heros will not mean squat to Kim Jong-Un or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the day they get their courage worked up enough to take us on. Now, let them stare down the bore of a M1 Abrams 105 mm cannon and suddenly they get the major attitude adjustment.

I don't really see a problem with this...it's the truth, he will, if re-elected, will have more space. You're kidding yourselves if you guys think that President's don't think like this..I guarantee every single President has said something to this effect about an arms deal, missile defense deal, sanctions on a certain country, ect. You just don't hear it publicly...

There is no reason for this country to even consider negotiating away our advantage in missile defense. We withdrew from the ABM treaty years ago for good reason. There is a world of difference between discussing negotiating strategy among the president's inner circle and explaining to your adversary that will make concessions after an election, when voters cannot hold you accountable. This was a huge gaffe by Obama,

So much to say about the above quote: Check out my hippi brohters:

" The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is in extending our commerical relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible.. why quit our own to stand upon foreign ground? Why be interweaving our destiny with that of any part of Europe, entagle our peace and prosperity in the toils of European ambition, rivalship, interest humor or caprice?"

George Washington.

"Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall beunfurled, there will her heart, her benedication and her prayers be. But she goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own. She will commend the general cause by the countenance of her voice, and the benignant sympathy of her example. She well knows that by once enlisting under banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, hse would involve herself beyond the power of extricationm in all the wars of insterest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standard of freedom. The fundamental maxims of her policy would insensibly change from liberty to force... she might become the dictatress of the world. She would be no longer the ruler of her own spirt.

John Quincy Adams

I would gladly stand with these two men.

So for me to have true freedom I need to be 130+ countries around the world 10,000 nuclear weapons, make everyone else follow along with what I say and when they don't kill them, make sure that I make my presence known by troops on the ground in any nearby country that has not attacked us... then let freedom ring...

no thanks, I will just mind my own business, if I did not secure my boarder and I get attacked then it is my fault, that is to the extent that we should have a military presence.

Let Freedom Ring
