Congrats to Austin Mullins on 2nd Homerun of the year lat night at Cordia. This sophmore is the real deal. South Paw with an 84 mile an hour Fastball and bat speed to boot. Runs like a deer and can track a fly ball as good as anyone I have seen.

Not taking anything away from the kid but a HR at Cordia isn't even deep enough to be a sacrific fly at a decent high school field. Now if it would have been a center field shot at Estill Co that would be a rope for sure. I know the kid and have seen him play several times. He is a a solid 14th region player and a great kid that any coach would love to have.

I agree, but it was over 50 feet over the fence, it would have been out at any field in the 14th region.

His velocity must have been down against Rowan Co. They seemed to light it up pretty good (15-2 Final). I would guess he was high 70's in that game. May have been a bad day for the kid, he did seem to have a live arm in the field. I am sure he will be a nice player for the Patriots!

Has his dad had any more cars to catch on fire during his games? LMAO

The above statement has killed me,lol. Seen him throw this year but didn't seem to be hitting in the 80's but kids have bad days from time to time.

This kid works hard everyday. He has a strong arm and hits his spots. Also, he has a dependable bat. His best ability is playing CF and finding balls as soon as they come off the bat.

LCC also had a kid hit a homerun at cordia, with a wooden bat. It was Dakota Yonts.
