Agree with that and their pitching seems to very dependable down the stretch.

Big match up Saturday at 6:00 PM at Davis Park in Pikeville between the Eagles and Panthers.

If rotation indicates anything, Maynard will be going for PHS.

Johnson Central boasts the best offensive team in the 15th, IMO. While Pikeville has only allowed 55 runs on the year. The JC staff has been great recently, and their runs allowed numbers are trending down and have faced better competition.

Not sure this game will have a lot to learn from, but should be fun. If the two meet up in the Region, it could be a very good game.

Unfortunately with the 57th district tournament begining monday, I think JC will be forced to staff out.

You must have missed their team last year then. They were beaten in the first round, but they were very very good.

They graduated 9 seniors last year and are playing about 6-7 freshmen as well this year. They will be back. Program is way to solid to not be.

I thought that may be the case. I wouldn't be surprised if PHS tossed Coleman or Garris after 4-5 with Maynard throwing two last night. Like I said, we may not learn too much from this game.

How about this Bob . JCHS 2 pitchers maybe the 2-3 or 3-4 in the district with the rest of staff getting a little work to keep the old arm live. Look for the new kids on the block to get some good work and maybe more during the district. So I hear on the street. Lets face it at this point the Eagles are a head above in the 57th.To believe otherwise is well, incorrect at least. JCHS may very well be the 1 in the 15th. May make a little road trip in a few weeks.

Forgot Bob I am hearing on the street that a new number 2 for JCHS may be coming out of the District. Personally believe that if the bats and the gloves are working he can beat anybody in the 57th. Real tight games would concern me.

Bit of a change PT. From what I understand gametime has been moved to a 1 PM start time.

I think that is what will probably happen Charlie. Dont know exactly how the innings will be distributed around, but there will be some of the young guys getting mound time from what I understand.

It has been a year of trial by fire; baptized by fire; thrown to the wolves....just however it is that you want to describe it, all coupled with exceptional help from both the bat and the glove from the supporting cast on more than one occassion, against some pretty stiff competition. Hopefully the crash course of being put in the hot seat has toughened a couple of the youngsters up to handle that if it were to occur. I guess we'll see....lol
