Johnson Central 2 Magoffin Co. 1
#1
Johnson Central advances to the 57th District Championship Game and the 15th Region Tourney with the win tonight, despite only having 1 hit.
Howard struggled to find the plate in the 1st and was releaved by Blanton, who shut JC down the rest of the way.

Simpkins goes the distance for JC to pick up the win.

MC had chances leaving the bases juiced twice.

Wow. Definitely would have been a big help if MC pulled it out.

I Didnt believe Coach Hall when he told me he was worried about this one. Congrats JC, and Hats off to a heck of a season for Magoffin.

What can you say about this one except JC was fortunate to advance by the skin of their teeth tonight. When Coach Dials gets those boys ready to play they are one tough out.

Several great defensive plays in this one. In just the 7th alone Hill made two great plays at third and Blevins one at first to close the door or this one may have turned out differently.

Congrats to Magoffin on an excellently played game.

Heard this one was quite a game. MC had the bases loaded twice with major chances to pull this one out and it just didn't happen for them. I was so hoping for a MC upset in this one. They have had a heck of a season, definately nothing to hang your head about.

Coach Dials is a great coach and his teams are a gritty bunch. This game relates more than others where the Eagle Club is. They bent but did not break . Tells a lot about your team. A good team must win the close ones. The Birds could have lost this game but did not. This may be the year for the Eagles to fly the Bluegrass.
