Corey Thomas started for Estill going 4 innings while giving up 2 runs. Jacob Tuttle comes in and finishes the game off.

Billy Hatmaker started for Powell going 3+ innings will giving up what I believe was 6 runs before coming out and taking the loss. Johnson comes in and gives up 2. Snowden comes in the 7th.

Game could have been over in 5 if the player interferrence call isn't called and the 2 deep flyouts that was hit by Estill had been home runs. Both liked about 10 or so feet from going out

3 of those 6 errors came in the 1st inning. either 2 or 3 of them were throwing errors that got past the 1B.


I think this loss all it done was woke powell county up. I'm sure Coach Varney will have his club ready next week but if Powell plays any of next weeks' games like they played this then they will be going home. Best of Luck to Coach Varney and the Pirates Next Week

Basically makes a region championship harder on powell...now instead of getting wolfe, perry central or knott, theyre going to have to beat letcher, or hazard...or they can hope they draw breathitt, which theyd have to face hamilton...they'll have to wake up to stay in the running.
