Congrats to both teams obviously the best of the 57th and both from Johnson county. Special congrats to Freshman Seth Blanton on taking the win in what I believe was his first District Tourney appearance but surly not the last. Kinda felt something like this would go down as posted earlier. The Eagles had simply too much gas tonight as they seemed to take it going away. A pretty good night for Johnson county baseball.

1st Inning is what bit the Tigers again. Moore comes in in relief and does a good job. Blanton for JC threw a good game as well. Congrats to the young man!
Hopefully things will pan out and we will get to see a rematch!
JC is a good hitting ball club. The ONLY complaint that I might have, was the stealing of bases when up 10-2 in the 6th. I know it's tourney time and the gloves are off. But, sometimes enough is a enough. Still respect all of them. Just a matter of deference in opinion.
Congrats to JC and hopefully we will see you again! Go 57th!

âRelax, all right? Donât try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, theyâre fascist. Throw some ground balls â itâs more democratic.â

Congrats to Johnson Central. Sounded like they dominated start to finish. I didn't hear the stealing bases part but if they were up that big then the pitchers should have done something to let them know it would not go unnoticed but then again, that is old school baseball not todays touchy feely game. The Tigers get a chance to show if they are fighters or not next week.

I disagree. I don't think it is bad to steal with a lead unless you are totally dominating a team and theres no chance in H___ they can come back. If I recall Paintsville had 2 of the 3 games during regular season won and ended up losing in the last innings. I know neither were 8 point leads but in high school sports its easy to tell whether a team is dominant or not. And at anytime these young kids can blow a lead. Saw where Powell blew up and Estill score 6 in one inning in their championship game. Of which I think were all unearned. The game isn't over until its over. Both JC and Pville are good ball clubs and both are capable of putting together a big inning. Regular season maybe could consider it tasteless/classless but in post season you definately want to seal the win. Congrats to both teams on making the regional tournament and good luck next week.

I quoted myself here to show that it is just simply opinion differences and that I understand why. We had the Top of the lineup coming up next inning. So please don't take it the wrong way guys. No hard feelings what so ever. The more I think about it. I would have tried to end it there myself.

It starts monday, but I have heard that the first round will be played over both monday and tuesday this year, rather than all being played on monday.
