Stardust Wrote::lame: It's based on total number of students, so obviously HHS has no say in where they are slotted. But the fact that a public school, played a Private School that does recruit, not just from inside their state, but out side it as well, tells me they have more scheduling balls than your school!
I am a Rockcastle faithful, and we couldn't be the HHS freshman team this year. I just think that Highlands should be moved to a higher class, and that noone in 4A (or 5A for that matter) has access to get players like HHS does except for Trinity an some other private schools who "draw in palyers with talent from other areas". I know its not recruiting, these people just move to this area so their kid can excell at this level of football. People see what goes on, its not like the only smart people in this world are at HHS. I am not quarreling with you any more, but I just don't see the playing field as level (it doesn't matter for my team anyway). I am sure I am not the only one that feels this way. I hope someone upset HHS this year, because it is no fun to see one team win every year, year after year.
I do agree that Elder is a bigger school and that they are really good this year, so I do give credit to HHS for having the nads to play a team of this quality. I would say good luck, but they don't need it to win 4A.
What is your school anyway, or do you just jump bandwagons depending on who is winning? I hear you bragging on Bowling Green, Trinity, HHS--anybody that is not projected to win a class championship this year on your list.

I get so tired of the whining over highlands. They are not unbeatable. Cov Cath, lex Cath, and JC have all had there chances and just didn't execute. That's what highlands does is execute. They don't cheat, they shouldn't be forced to play trinity just so people can watch them lose and go haha. Realistically by enrollment size they are one of the smallest in 4A. (Aren't they actually supposed to be 3a but play up? I could be Wrong just what I heard) looks like my tomcats will be playing at highlands in the playoff and I look forward to the oppurtunity to measure our program against the success of highlands high school. They are beatable but you have to play well. Something a lot of teams don't do for a solid four quarters.

Could be a good wake up call. When you play one of the Cincinnati Catholic schools, win or lose, it makes you better.

I tip my hat to Elder. They played a good game. We came close and I thought we were going to take it there for a while...but, Elder did what the great teams do and made the big plays. I like
What is mindboggling is that this is a 6-3 Elder team. You put them in 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, or 5A, this 6-3 team wins state. If Elder is in 6A, they make the finals. Trinity is 3 scores better, but this Elder team is capable of pulling the massive upset if they played "the perfect game," unlike 99% of teams that play Trinity.
Just goes to show you how good these Cincinnati teams are.

Cincinnati Elder would be the second best team in the Commonwealth.

I know that some get on here tooting the "Highlands Horn" and that can get a little annoying to some....but to me it is a shame that a Kentucky team got beat by an Ohio team. I might not be rooting for Highlands in some cases...but I'll root for a Kentucky team ANY DAY over an out of state team. Sounds like a close game was played against a very good Ohio team. I'm proud that Highlands could lead and keep a close game while representing Kentucky against that team.

I don't know why people hate on Highlands so much. I mean I'm from EKY but I still root for them against KY competition and especially out of state competition. Congrats to Elder on the W and good luck to Highlands the rest of the way!

I don't believe it's so much that everybody hates Highland. I think its more that most BGR members hate the way a certain troll has to come into every topic and down another team just so he can brag on his almighty Highland team. I have nothing against any team in or out of our state. Highlands is a great team,I would love to get to watch them play,if they was playing a team that was as equal to them.

Hating a football program is the biggest compliment there is.
