A lot closer than I thought it would be.

I had predicted Perry to pull this one off, thought it might be close.

What kind of night did Harris have? Sounds like a battle royal between the offenses.

Sounds like this was perhaps that best game of the 1st Rd!!! The big question that I have have is, did Damien Harris play in this game? I honestly did not expect this game to be this close, especially if Harris was playing tonight!
Congrats Eagles!!

I said this would be the best first round game, and it seems it did not dissapoint.

Harris didnt play. If he would of itd been over at half time. Congrats to MS ...............#44 is a beast for MS. Good luck to ms rep the district.

Will Harris play against Harlan County?
11-03-2012, 04:01 AM
I don't know but they better bring it. If they can't do any better then that with Perry I don't think one single player will help with Harlan Co I don't care who it is or how good they are.

Bears will way to much up front for Madison Southern.
11-03-2012, 09:03 AM
If Perry had kick their field goals in the second half after they scored they would have won. Next week BLOEOUT Harlan 49 Madison,Southern 14 if Harris doesnt play and if he does it wont make much difference.

Was pulling for PCC in this one, but congrats MS!

Great WIN FOR THE EAGLES! PCC scored on long plays due to MS defense just not wrapping up, they had the plays stopped but just didn't get him to the ground. It was a great game to watch thou...It was 28-13 at one point, credit to PCC for coming back.

Congrats to the Commodores on fighting back in this one and even taking the lead late.
They played a tough schedule and could have easily filled up a creampuff schedule like a lot of teams around here and won at 7 or 8 games.
I'm disappointed in our fan base on here that left these guys for dead and left me and tigers alone against all of the rabid Harlan County fans - they will hear about it come basketball season when they all get on here to put their 2 cents in.
And as always...
song dedication to the Commodores and Seniors on the squad.
Great careers for all of them and I wish them the best of luck as they move forward.

I will tell you how much support you have in Perry County for the football team.
School carnivals going on this past Friday.
Grade School Basketball Practices going on.
Cheerleading Practices going on.
All this was happening during a District Football Playoff Game. Wonder if they would of been doing this stuff if Perry was playing in the Regional Basketball tournament at Powell County or somewhere else. You bet your ass they wouldnt. Oh well. The saga continues.

I would bet that Harlan County was completely shut down on Friday night.

I agree with everything zaga said. Also, I want to say congrats to Madison Southern on a hard fought win, and say congrats to my Commodores for playing their butts off all season and never letting the doubters get them down, proud as heck of them all. I also want to wish all of the seniors the best as they move on and wish them nothing but success and happiness in the future.
Now that Perry is out and I don't have a team to cheer for i'll be pulling for our fellow district 8 teams the rest of the way, so go Colonels and go Bears.

I would love nothing more than to see a District 8 Regional Final.
