21 year old busted playing High School Football
#1
The expression "a man among boys" came true for the Mt. Pleasant (Mich.) football team after it was discovered that a 21-year-old man played four games for the school this fall.

According to Morning Sun, 21-year-old James Nash fraudulently transferred into the school district under the alias Javier Jones and took the lie all the way to the gridiron.

Acting on a tip, the school district investigated and discovered that Nash had forged documents to cover up his age.

As of Friday, Mt. Pleasant had already removed Nash from its football roster.

The school is awaiting word from the MHSAA as to whether it will have to forfeit the games in which Nash played. The organization has never dealt with such a case.

"At this point it's just communication," Conway told the Morning Sun. "But the MHSAA did indicate that it is unprecedented that a young person has changed their age from older to younger to be able to play. They had not run into this."

The strange case is reminiscent of the Guerdwich Montimere saga, in which a 22-year-old posed as a high school sophomore basketball player in Texas.

Heard of some high schoolers playing down on some middle school teams, but never heard of this.

You all remember the show in the 80's, 21 Jump Street? He's an undercover cop. He just has to play the part of a student- athlete so he can blend in. LOL

Same thing happened with a basketball team in Texas last year.

I just wonder how many arent caught....

Evarts played a kid against Corbin in 70's who had been out of school a couple of years.

I am wondering the same thing. I would hope so considering he is 3-4 years older than anyone else on the team!

I'm not sure what he's doing in the picture. I see a guy with a piggy bar and him standing there.

Is Granny Bear the only other person old enough to remember the kid from Evarts? They should have made him shave before the game.

I don't know if it's true or not, but, growing up I always heard rumors that Lynch East Main was famous for getting away with kind of stuff. All the other county teams also lost most of thier games to Lynch and what better way to justify your loss than to claim the other team cheated. But who knows for sure?

Now Bell County Done something like this with a daniels man playing and had to forfeit
most of their games because of as such..
Middlesboro was the ones that ratted them out. I Remember A song played on the radio
for quite sometime. Heres a Quarter to call someone who cares. A local
DJ changed the
words to talk about how Backstabbing in county sister school
Middlesboro was for doing this.
Bell got the last laugh as they went on to win state i think.
The next season Bell county was waxing middlesboro at Bell County where they had
extra security because of this thing and The lights cut out in the stadium and
the jackets cheerleaders started chanting..were not afraid..were not aftaid..lol
They quit playing there rivalry afyer this and only recently renewed as such.
BUT make NO mistake. BELL Still HATES MIDDLESBORO to this day.

I've heard a LOT of stories about this kind of thing happening mostly in the late 60s and 70s. There's probably a grain of truth in most of them, and maybe all of them, but how you could prove anything is beyond me!

And it wasn't just one or two schools; either! Back then, there really wasn't a lot for folks to do and the football games were major!

The Daniels kid transfered from Middlesboro and wasnt cleared to played it wasnt his age
#22
Heres something on it.
Looks like Middlesboro reported as such right after the game.

Who was the kid who played in western Kentucky who played at UK? He had an altered birth certificate he used to play little league thru high school. His ruse wasn't discovered until he came to UK.

^ Artose Pinner, but i think he was only a year older

Although this was a basketball game, I can remember one time when we played Oneida Baptist Institute in middle school and their starting center was easily 6'6'' with a full beard and everyone was like there is no way this kid is in middle school and I don't remember seeing him again in the years after that. So, who knows but, he looked almost too old to be in high school say nothing of middle school.

Don't want to step on any toes but the Virgie-Dorton area was notoriously rumored to do things like that. As I said it was all only rumored
