#1
The Lexington Catholic Knights beat Beechwood 6-4 Saturday night, winning the Kentucky High School Athletics Association baseball championship at Applebee's Park in Lexington.

The Knights scored four runs in the first inning and then watched as the Tigers trimmed the lead to 4-3 after four innings. But in the bottom of the fourth Catholic scored two more runs and then held on for the victory.

Catholic centerfielder Ben Revere was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. It was the third state championship of the school year for Lexington Catholic, which also won the state 3-A football title and the girls' basketball championship as well.
