The Big Dipper

Hearing about the passing of Coach Walter Brugh started me thinking about other Eastern Ky FB people that have passed and I thought about the Dipper. He was a great guy. I thought that some of you might have a Dipper story or two to share with us. It seems like everyone has one.:biggrin:

Enjoyed his radio shows from the Wendy's in Mt. Vernon.
He had to have chicken nuggets and a frosty then he'd dunk the nuggets into the frosty, every time.

THE DIPPER WOULD NEVER PICK AGAINST THE MOUNTAIN TEAMS HAD TO LOVE THIS GUY, HE ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT THE SHUCKY BEANS SANDWICH HE WOULD GET ON THE HILL AT THE LESLIE COUNTY EAGLES FOOTBALL GAMES WHERE EVERYONE WOULD BE EATING AND "HUM" WATCHING THE GAME. There may be a new dippin sauce. You could choose from sweet n sour, BBQ, honey mustard, or FROSTY, LOL! Great story! You had to love the Dipper!!

There would be an All Mountain team and an All Mountain coach every year with a banquet to honor these players. He really cared about mountain football but hated the northern triangle as he called it.

Loved the cook outs on the hill at Leslie Co. Big Dipper was always fun to be around.

If the Dipper was around and u werent smiling, something was wrong with you. We never failed to get with him and a bunch of others for a BS session at the hotel at the state finals in Lville. I looked forward to that as much as I did the games, LOL!!
