JC had some rb's/fb's a few years ago. Shannon Price and Josh Banks were a tandem. What about that Matt Brown boy too....rumor was back in 2000 he was going to verbal to Virginia until they changed coaches and decided he wanted to play football and baseball both.

Matt Brown played for Paintsville, and yes UVA showed some interest. I'm not sure how much interest and to what extent he was courted but he did want to play both football and baseball in college. I think you got Brown confused with former JC fullback Scott Salyer, who was elected Mountain Play of the Year by WYMT for the 2000 season.
As far as top fullback's, I'd include:
May (Belfry)-Has size and power but runs like a tailback.
Johnson (JC)-Simply, is a load I've not seen to many players tackle him one on one.
Sublett (Paintsville)-Good blocking back, doesn't carry the rock a whole lot but has had some good catches out of the backfield this season.

Not Play of the year but player of the year when referring to Salyer.
Also to add to good fullbacks:
Kenny Hughes (Somerset)-Decent blocker and runs well between the tackles.
Kelly (SC)-Has a strong running style.
Lafferty (KCC)-Don't know much about his running style, but must be a decent blocker for Bobby O. to get the yards he does.

Yeah...Taylor from Jenkins is an all around good player...blocks great, can catch out of the backfield or lined up out wide. And did i mention he's a great linebacker too.
