Fewest points allowed in shot clock era or Rupp Arena in UK history

If its at all possible to break a record of fewest points allowed, beat them by 60, and still look really bad on offense, we just achieved it.

Right now, I think Ulis is playing better than Andrew. Its obvious hes a better shooter. Lyles wasn't as hot tonight but he seems to be the only consistent free throw shooter. Dakari should be starting with WSC.

If we needed five players on the court and was told we could only play five, id prolly go...

Ulis
Aaron/Booker which ever is hotter. Right now its looking like booker. Could change Tues.
Lyles
Dakari
WCS

Gut, Lyles wasn't as hot? He wasn't even warm. 1-9 tonight, and 2-14 from 3 point range on the season. To be fair all you said is that he could shoot from anywhere on the court. You never said anything about making it. 6-21 in the last 3 games shooting, but I guess you're right about the free throws.

Towns with another nice game! 8 points, 10 boards, 6 blocks on 4-6 shooting. 15 blocks, 22 rebounds, on 9-18 shooting in the last 3.

But by all means continue to discredit the leading shot blocker in the country who will go top 3 in the draft.

At least we know Towns has a friend. Cmon man, i would hope any player Ky has could put up those stats against this competition.
Im telling you right now, when it comes down to a late game situation, Lyles will be in the game if its close.
If you want to call that a good performance tonight, I feel bad for you. Montana State is just that bad.
Whatd we start? 0-10 and they didn't even cross the half court the entire time.

You have to hit those bunnies.

At least we know Lyles has a friend and Towns has a big time hater. His performance was better than that of Lyles. What is his excuse for going 1-9? What is the excuse for 2-14 from behind the arc? Lyles has yet to to prove anything yet he's your boy. Towns leads the nation in blocks, puts Lyles to shame on rebounds, and has outshot him over the last 3 games. You just never know when to give up despite making a constant fool of yourself. You should stick to football.

Dominated the whole time. Wouldn't even consider it a game!

Exactly right lyles hasn't got off on the right start. He shoots too may outside shots when that's not his game, but a solid free throw shooter.

That's just it, I don't hate Towns. I hope he puts up 50 and 30 a game. Your confusing criticism for hating.
Lyles had an off night, but regardless he has shown more promise than Towns so far.

You do realize there saying Towns is a lottery pick right? Top 3 on most draft boards. How is that even possible? Explain that one to me. If you were an NBA exec would you even take Towns over WCS right now? I didn't think so.

The only fool I see is a guy named after a glamour hair band. And whats this football you speak of? UK has a football team?

I agree with Gut on this one. I think Towns came in a little overrated. I hope he gets out of looking as soft as he does. Im not sure on Lyles either, but he has shown more promise than Towns.

I think Towns has looked fine especially defensively, but he needs to be more aggressive offensively around the basket. Hard to be upset with his blocks and rebounds. Defense is half the game and he should be judged as such. Lyles has looked good too, just can't get the three going just yet. I like the platoons as they are, and it's impossible to say who should or shouldn't start or play based on these 5 games so far. Just gotta keep watching.

And yes I would personally take Towns as a lottery pick at this point. That doesn't mean 1 or top 3 but lottery yes.

The defense is absolutely insane, it'll be extremely hard for any team in the country to score in the paint.

Can't wait to see the Cats play in a tough away environment and how they react. Crazy to think that this is only November and this team still has lots of upside and room to improve most noticeably on the offensive end. Special team.
#13
The offense wont matter if were only giving up 35 points a game.

How much did UK pay this team to come?

They're horrible!

UCLA beat them 40
Grand Canyon beat them 15

Coach Cal must be really wanting that 40-0 season.

Yeah because the 4 preseason top 10 teams on the OOC schedule aren't good at all.

:dudecomeon:

You can't play a top 20 team every game of the year. They have schedules to adhere to also.
