Braxton officially going to a prep school
#31
Sounds like a lot of kids from New York moving into the area. Isnt this sort of strange? Considering there isn't any jobs in Eastern Kentucky.
#32
Its really getting ridiculous that these mountain schools are doing this. Its a joke actually. Could it just stop and lets play with what each school has. I mean, New York, Phily, Texas, etc. Heck even our local colleges are not getting kids from that area. Mountain boys are just outta luck it appears.

Man it stinks when you're so "unlucky".

I got passed over for a job once when someone from Philly who was more qualified for the position applied for it at the same time.

I wish "luck" would have been on my side.

I didn't realize there were people from Pennsylvania and New York moving in to take jobs from Perry County residents.
#35
Funny thing is, you don't see these kids parents or anyone related to them actually "working".
#36
Nope. I bank roll them all.
#37
and I know I'm enabling in this one, but let's make an effort to move it back to the topic.

It's about a kid from Perry County moving to an out of state school.

Not a kid from out of state moving to Perry County.

Hate to see kids of his ability leave. He will get more exposure at Hargrave but don't know if this will significantly change schools who are recruiting him. AAU is a huge factor in recruitment now. Best of luck to him.

Good luck!

I was told hes starting to have second thought about leaving for sure.

Congrat's to Braxton!!! Hope he does great there....
#42
Hargrove will be a great fit
#43
Don't really understand this move. Great High School player but seems he is more of a NAIA type for next level. Should just finish his high School career who he has been playing with all these yrs

Braxton's a great kid and a very good basketball player! Wishing him the best in his future
#45
It's Braxton's life, not ours. Alot of people are so biased with their school losing a kid to the point that they throw them down the drain but praised him like a God when he was playing in Perry County. If he and his family feels that going to Hargrave will give him a better opportunity and get him out of the mountains, then good for him. There isn't a future and the dream has died in this area and that's plain and simple. Hargrave is a top notch school that will make him a man fast and teach him things that I promise these schools around here doesn't..Discipline! Best of luck Braxton!
