Wayne had running clock with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Harlan ended up playing there "injured" players. Wayne rolls easy. Time for district play!

Wayne bounces back big time after that loss against Boyle County. Good solid win!

Good bounce back win for the Cards after a disappointing effort last week. Wayne totaled 405 yards and limited Harlan County to just 109 yards, with 58 of that coming on one play. The Cards forced five turnovers and dominated the second and third quarters, until the running-clock with over 5-minutes left in the third. I was disappointed in the small crowd following the Black Bears, going on this site, I figured a couple hundred would make the trip.
Harlan County was very much in this game in the first half and while I don't know much football, I thought their coaching decisions put their team in a deep hole and ultimately gave Wayne 2 scores late in the first half. Punt the football and run the football and that could be a 17-7 game at half. Anyways good luck to Harlan County the rest of the way and hope you bounce-back in district play. Wayne County opens district play Friday at Clay County. Go Cards!
