It sounds like to me that Chad Nelson is an up and coming Freshman with talent.
Its a tough transiational time for Freshman and the season is very young.
More and more High Schools are giving Freshmen players more chances to play and/or improve themselves with Varsity time.
It'll be interesting to see by the end of the year which kids become productive.

My bad, I guess I seen the 5 in the title and was thinking about the 15th.
Sorry...I know Chad is in the 15th Region.
14th....not sure. So many Freshman do not see much playing time due to JV not playing at all or just 3 innings at the most. Even if on the Varsity as a Freshman...coaches where I live don't set upperclassman and let a freshman/Varsity player have playing time. Regardless of errors. Only if Varsity is up BIG do our Freshman see the field.
I guess in time....their time will come.

What a homer run Aarron McIntosh hit the other night at Johnson Central, it was SWEET!!! Powell's JV has looked good all year! I'd like to see them play more, weather permitted! They are having a winning season. Future looks bright!!
