Street Sense Wins The Kentucky Derby
#1
Street Sense came back from 19th to lead the pack at the very end to win the 133rd Kentucky Derby.

Thats who I figured would win it. Could we finally see a Triple Crown winner?

I don't think so. Street Sense pulled it out of his butt there at the end. They got very lucky by being able to weave in and out of the other horses, but if someone had blocked him from coming up he wouldn't have won. I don't think Street Sense has enough to pull off the Triple Crown.

The Preakness and Belmont stakes are the two big races that complete the triple crown so yeah they're pretty big.

No. Only if you had it to show.

3rd place wins if you bet on the horse to "show."

If you only bet on the horse to win then you didn't win any money.

If you bet on the horse to win that means it has to come in first.
If you bet on the horse to place then it can come in first or second and you win.
If you bet on the horse to show, then it can come in 1st, 2nd, or third and you win.

I think the Preakness is in 2 weeks, and the Belmont stakes is 2 weeks after that.

We won around $400!! Should have been more but I didn't bet a lot.
But Street Sense ran a great race... he got a great trip tough, especially to be in a 20 horse field... he may be good enough to win the Triple Crown
