Someone Was Lurking Around My Apartment Last Night
#1
After my finals I came back to my apartment and got some much needed sleep. I was running on about 10 hours of sleep for the week so I was out for about 12 hours.

At about 3 AM my cat was upstairs bothering me, which is unusual because he never comes into my room. So I got up and went downstairs thinking he wanted food, but he refused to come all the way down the stairs. At this point I was up anyways and couldn't go back to sleep so I decided to watch TV. The living room window was open with a box fan on in the window and the shades were pulled halfway up. I sat down on the couch and turned on the TV. Shortly after that I thought I saw something out of the corner of my eye in the window. I thought nothing of it and went on with my business, then I thought I saw something moving around outside again. So I got up and looked out the window, but didn't see anything, I turned around back towards the couch. At this point I can see out my kitchen window and I thought I saw someone walk by the kitchen window which is in the back on the apartment.

This freaked me out, so I pulled the box fan out of the window and locked it, and then went to the back door and made sure it was locked too.

I went outside a few minutes ago and didn't see anything, but it was definitely freaky.

I could swear that I hear people outside all the time or catch a glimpse of something dark or a shadow move through my house all the time.

Well... if I were in your position... I wouldn't be using a window fan or anything like that on a ground floor. Remember to keep your windows/doors locked and do not hesitate to call the police if you feel "funny" again! Animals are very intuitive... your "gut feeling" is usually "on the money"... it pays to err on the side of caution!

Yeah, the thing that worried me most were the animals acting odd. Not hanging out downstairs. My cat is usually pretty curious about the window and anything going on outside, so it was odd that he wasn't up on the window seal investigating.
