Being a diehard Cardinal im really tore here... which game do i go to...?? Wky has two top notch games this week. Mayfield vs Caldwell is a district game to set pecking order, but does Caldwell really have a shot? I know they are playing good ball an always seem to play mayfield hard esp at caldwell, but this game is likely to be played again in a few weeks.. if mayfield comes in to relaxed then they could get themselves in trouble as the tigers have alot of emotion playing for the loss of coach Barnes.. the pass seems to be mayfield's Achilles heel this year , an always has been as many faithfull know, an caldwell can definitely sling the ball around..
Then you have Pt vs the colts.. props to both these teams for scheduling this game. Pt's track team will definitely test this colts defense as they feature two blazing rbs an receivers that can light the field on fire.. its crazy to me these two teams offering to play in reg season as they could possibly meet back up in the playoffs. Desales is used to being there an alot of ppl are touting them as ,the or a, top 3a team as they usally boast a awsome defense that is built for stopping the run, but dont load the box bc pt can pass very effectively as they burned Mayfield's speed several times down field . For pt this is there best team fielded in years an i an others in wky feel like they might be able to prove where they belong in the 3a landscape. This game has me excited..
Where to go , where to go.....?????? I wander if im the only one struggling with this thought?

This is a pretty easy decision. If you want the more competitive game, go to Paducah. It’s also about 45 minutes less driving. However, if you want to see your hometown team take the lead in the district, drive to Caldwell and have some pizza before the game. I suspect it’s more like a 3-4 score win though.

I knoe.. i knoe... having a match up like pt an colts just doesn't happen to often locally.. an i dont think our game will be real competitive... plus id like to see how pt does against a stouter defense

PT and DeSales no question. Like going to Kroger field just about 2 months early

Whoever wins that Tilghman/Desales game may well vault themselves into the Top spot in 3a. I still think a healthy Belfry team is #1, but, they aren't 100% healthy right now. I also think Bell Co and Ashland are right there.
I expect the Mayfield/Caldwell game will be a decent game, as well. The Cardinals should win by a couple of scores, but, if the defense keeps giving up big pass plays, the Tigers could be in it till the end.

I think Glasgow is going to have something to say about who is #1 in 3A. They came within 14 seconds of upsetting a top 5A team.
