Nashville Battalion to award Army Iron Man

Army Iron Man honors the best two-way high school football player in Kentucky recruiting territory
NASHVILLE, Tenn.During the 2007 high school football season, the U.S. Army Recruiting Battalion Nashville will honor the best two-way high school football player in the battalion’s Kentucky recruiting territory. Playing and excelling on both offense and defense, the Army Iron Man must demonstrate physical and emotional strength, as well as strength of character. The Army Iron Man embodies the qualities of Army Strong!

“The Sports Flash” (TSF) Radio Network will accept nominations each week from high school football coaches, athletic directors, media members, and high school football fans. Each week, high school football fans from throughout the battalion’s recruiting territory will have the opportunity to vote for the winner of the Army Iron Man of the Week. At the end of the regular season, fans will vote for the Army Iron Man of the Year from among the weekly winners. Throughout the campaign, fans can visit www.TheSportsFlash.com to vote for the weekly winner; sign-up for weekly “Iron Man” updates; download the audio feature; and much more.

The winner of the Army Iron Man of the Year Award will receive a unique, one-of-a-kind “championship-quality” ring. TSF Radio Network and the U.S. Army will announce the official jeweler of the Army Iron Man Award in coming weeks.
