Letcher 65 Perry 60 (2OT)
#1
Sloppy game overall but entertaining I suppose
Letcher had a small lead late in the 4th and let it slip away.
Perry ran a little clock at the end of the first OT and Woods came off a screen to tie it up with a 3. Got a turnover and had a shot to win it at the end of the 1st.
Back and forth in the 2nd OT but I don't know if Perry ever led. Letcher missed a handful of FTs down the stretch of regulation and in the OT periods but made enough to seal the deal. Perry with several turnovers late.
Beverly was back on the court for the Commodores but didn't seem to be 100%

Not sure what to think of this team, I know they’ve played a tough schedule, but there’s no excuse for tonight, letcher out hustled us, out rebounded us, and they had a great game plan, they took woods and slone out of the equation for the most part, we have to get more from Day, he’s a great player, hopefully he steps up, yes Rydge was back, but clearly wasn’t 100%, once we get everyone back healthy, and on the same page, we will be fine, castle stepped up big tonight on a positive note. Next up, Pulaski county…. #anchordown. We will be there at the end!!

The Commodores were shut down by the cougars who proved they were the better team.

Perry central is the better team. Wait until tournament time and people of the 14th region will see. They are well coached and should be healthy come post season.

Did you watch the game?

Not taking anything away from either team, but I don't think either of these squads proved anything about how good they could be last night.
This was a sloppy game on both sides of the ball and Letcher made enough plays to win it.
Should either of these teams play like this come tourney time they'll be going home.
The TV broadcaster said this game ended "mercifully" as the 2nd overtime buzzer went off.

But these games happen and you learn from them. Both of these teams will be in the mix down the stretch of the season.

65-60 at the end of 6 quarters. Had to be a tough game to watch.

Nobody likes to watch defense any more. I love a good physical game. Thought Knight and Castle played good for Perry last night. Letcher has a nice team.
