Christmas Eve and Day Snow!!
#1
Well, I figured I would start a thread about this. Forecast models are showing another doozie snowstorm for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I'll post more later with updated models. With all of these storms showing up, one of them are bound to hit us sooner or later. Smile

I just checked out the GFS 6z... looks pretty good. Still a few days off. This latest storm packed quite a punch. It just turned north a little too quick.

I'm really impressed with the GFS predicting it as it did, as far out as 15-16 days... Lets see if this one stays on the map.

The problem with this upcoming storm is that the GFS originally had it tracking south of Kentucky, then exploding off the coast of NC and forming a nor'easter. Now it has the Low going north of Kentucky, giving us wrap around snow. Before this is all said and done, expect the low to be too far north for us to get any kind of precipitation.

Lets hope for a 1978 style low develops if it goes north of us as we agree that it probably will. (28.28'/958mb)!!!!!!!!!!!!!
