How do these two match up this year. Pikeville has won 4 in a row of these sectional games vs the Rams but Raceland is always very good and capable of getting the win. Duty almost certainly will throw for Pikeville. Does Raceland have someone who matches up well in this game. I think it will be a low scoring game, maybe 2-1 or 3-2.

The Rams are struggling scoring runs the last few games except for the last game they played, which most of the the runs scored against Russell were due to errors committed by the Dead Devils. The top of the lineup hasn’t been productive lately. I hope for a good clean game and that the winning team earns it and it’s not won by errors.

Raceland won the game and that’s all that matters. Lots of balls just squirting through a hole in the infield or bloops for hits. I think 1 official error but there were at least 3 on Pikeville. Saw one hard hit from the Rams but baseball is funny like that. They move on. Best of luck to them.

Such an odd game. Felt like it was someone’s to lose rather than someone’s to win for the longest time. Whoever ended up making mistakes in the later innings was going to be the one that let it slip away. Racelands ability to advance runners put them in position to take advantage of Pikeville mistakes. Idk what else Pikeville has in the bullpen but Duty is a really good HS pitcher. Tip of the cap to Caden Shore as well from Raceland. In the last two innings he faced 3 batters that had him down 3-0. He battle back and ended those battles with 3 Ks. Someone said Pikeville had Duty and Raceland did not. Shore ended up having the better night, imo.
