A heck of a pitching performance by Boedy Maynard for Lawrence County.

Yes, that changes everything if the games are canceled for a few days. Lawrence will be praying for rainouts Lol! I know JC pitched their #1 yesterday too against Shelby Valley. He only has to rest a couple of days, but I kind of wonder if Coach Hall was thinking the rain may change things so we might as well get the #1 out there to ensure they made it to the semi-finals.

Paintsville head coach got them beat again. Playing a kid that you could tell was so nervous at 2nd and would not make the change to a more experienced better player. They have not hit good pitching because of the weak schedule. I believe they need to make a change or they will lose kids next year if they bring the head coach back which will be good for other schools. Come down 23 we will take them all. When they brought the kincheloe kid in so quick Lawrence knew they had to do something. I thought when he got out of that bases loaded situation that they brought him in on I thought it was over then. But once again the head coach played an inexperienced 8th grader that hadn’t played all year knowing a lot of balls would BE going that way. No smart coaching

If they were playing tonight it would have most likely been Davis on the mound for LC. I like the Bulldogs in that contest with him on the mound, even more so if Maynard is on the mound.

Pikeville with Duty throwing wins vs Davis 9-10 games out of 10 and with anyone else 7-8 out of 10 games. Gets dicier with Maynard but Pikeville should not be losing to LC this year with their 1 or 2 pitching.

No smart coachingSounds like PVille Coach made a good call bringing in Kincheloe. According to KHSAA the 2nd baseman you’re referring to was hitting .316 coming into the game. Probably why the coach had him in the lineup. It is very hard not to play a kid hitting over .300 in hs baseball. No matter what grade.
Can’t blame coaching and a kid for a loss due to being nervous. It’s the region tournament, emotions are high. Sometimes kids just make mistakes too, but when you’re on the outside of the fence like keeping stats, outside spectator, or just a baseball enthusiast it’s easy to make assumptions. A single player never loses a game for any team.
I want to see all these coaches and players do well. From the experiences of coaches who have been at it 20 years or the ones who just started out. Let’s be proud of eastern Ky baseball and for the future.

McCormick not much different than John D Miller. No development, lets just beat up on little sisters of the 15th. At least the record looks good at then end of the day!!!

I think that Paintsville is a desperate need of a new head coach. If you can't win with the talent that you have right now, it will never get better. This probably the most talent I have seen in a group of kids in a long time. He makes Bad decisions all the time. Say what you want about the previous coach, but he was there to win, its wasn't a Ego trip like it is with this one. That game with JC, he left that poor kid in there too long, and JC lit him up on the second and third round. Plus is attitude toward parents and players is right down shameful. I was witness one time when he was making fun of the superintendent kid to other players . not mention the talent that he has run off to other schools just on the way he treats them. Several kids are shopping playing somewhere else next year. He needs to go before he does more damage than he already has.

Paintsville had a hell of a year with a young squad. The only thing wrong with Paintsville sports is a small group of toxic fans.

2) Making a claim that a Crace in Paintsville wasn't all about an ego trip.
