Funny, couple weeks ago all that I seen on here was people complaining about Wolfe’s pitch calling and coaching. 
Yet they gave up 1 run in 24 innings of play in the regional tourney. lol 

Benny Cambell is a winner. His last 3 regional tournaments he has coached in. Two in softball and 1 in baseball now. He is 9-0.
Hard to beat that record. Don’t care what anyone says.

Congratulations to Wolfe County. I know this is the only championship they have won in baseball. Was the 2 Benny won in softball the only regional championships for them? They will have to build a statue for him, the man only wins.

Wolfe County can most certainly beat Harrison.

Estill was absolutely killing Harrison 6-0 in 2 innings before the umps called it cause it was raining a little bit. Estill looked like they were participating in a home run derby as many as they hit.

Baseball is a funny sport. The whole town was freaking out after district and they just turned it on. If you had told me Wolfe would win the tournament by scoring only 5 runs, I would have questioned it. But those boys have played together since they were 8-9 years old. That is a full investment for this moment right here.

I will take a home-grown team any day of the week, winning our regional tournament over a team with kids from other counties. Congrats, Wolfe Co. and coaches.

Not gonna be easy, but this is one of the better draws the 14th Region has had in quite a while. If the big lights don't get them, Wolfe has a shot to win a game or two.

This was a well-played tournament for the most part. A lot of great pitching and defense. Most games were 1-0 or 1-1 going into the late innings. Other than the Powell/Breathitt game, all games weren't decided until late in the game.

I don't think anyone thought a few weeks ago these two teams would be facing off with a Regional title on the line. Powell was struggling early in the season and had some major holes in their team. We played them early in the season and beat them pretty bad. Completely different team from then until now. They got a really good draw and started playing much better at the right time when it mattered most. Hats off to Coach Spencer and his staff for a good coaching job to put his team in a position to win a title. With Wolfe, I think we all knew they were a talented group but they too had some holes especially defensively. Region tournament rolls around and they win the championship due to solid pitching and strong defense. The best part was the entire team played a role and made a big play at one time or another to get it done for Wolfe. The top half of the bracket was really strong and as soon as the bracket come out we all felt the winner would come out of the top. The first time in history that all the runner up teams advanced out of the first round. What a great tournament it was. Hats off to Wolfe County winning their first Regional Championship.
