Finally President Bush has communed the sentences of Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean. I feel that he has waited waaaayyy too long to do this but I am glad that he finally did. :Thumbs: Then again, this isn't a full pardon so I think that Bush fell short in this respect.

Full disclosure: The BP agents in question shot the guy in the back as he was running away — thus exterminating the self-defense defense — and promptly disposed of the evidence. It was not a good shooting. That said, the penalty was overly harsh.

They won't ever work in law enforcement again, which is probably appropriate given the circumstances. That and time served is punishment enough.
