Who won the 15th Region in 1987?

I know Paintsville won it in 1985 and 86. Just wondering if they made it a 3-peat. Thanks.

Paintsville won it in 1987, made to the final four losing to Ballard

Hmmm....I've got Paintsville in 1986 making it to the final four and losing to Tates Creek 3-1. For 1987, I've got Owensboro, M.C. Napier, Harrison Co. and PRP as the final four. But all I was needing to know was if they won the region in '87 and you are certain on that? Not doubting you, just trying to make sure. I know Pelphrey was one helluva pitcher during that run.

1986, MC Napier was in the Final Four, beat Paintsvilles' John Pelphrey and Cumberlands' Freddie Maggard. Probably the best mountain baseball team ever in my opinion.

1989- Paintsville - State Runner-Up
1980- Hazard - State Runner-Up

1948- Prestonsburg - STATE CHAMPS
P-burg advanced to the state tournament (when there was only 8 regions) in 1945, 1946, 1947, and 1948, they also reached the semi-finals in 1947.

1958- Harlan - State Runner-Up

Jenkins H.S. reached the state tournament from 1951-1954, advancing to the semi's once.

M.C. Napier beat Paintsville in the first round of the semi-state in 1987. In the championship they beat Cumberland 1-0. That is 100% accurate!!!!

That was one heck of a defensive game, kid at 3rd from Napier was unbelievable. He took hit after hit away, down the line and to the left, rarely anything right at him. He beat them denfesively.
