Cooper 28 Scott 27
#1
final

Could be a long rest of the season for the Eagles. May not win one all year. But I guess it's not about the wins or loses only if you keep fighting to the end and make progress.

congrats cooper

Scott led the whole game and was up 14 with 8 min left. Then with 25 sec left Cooper takes the lead for the win.

I was surprised to see Scott score 27 points. Watching the offense was a struggle, the play calling is not the best but they were competitive to the Jags vaulted defense

The Bellevue game is MUCH more winnable than this game and I fully expect them to take the game, with much room to spare. Scott will win a game this year, maybe a couple.

I realize Cooper isn't the same team as last year with the addition of Bradley at RB, but Scott is WAYYYY down this year. Could be a long season for the Eagles. I wouldn't expect them to win more than 2 games.

If Scott doesn't beat Bellevue they will not win a game all year. That is the only game they can win and if they don't I look for an 0-10 year which I hate to see for a player like Zack Sowder.

Congrats to the fairly new program.

Tailback Dvontae Bradley did not play football for Cooper last season because he transferred from Ryle too late to be eligible for his sophomore year.

Better late than never, said Cooper coach Randy Borchers, who has made Bradley the Jaguars’ bell-cow back in Bradley’s first varsity season, and is reaping some surprising results.

“Bradley’s an amazing back,” Cooper coach Randy Borchers said. “Look what he did tonight.”

Bradley set Cooper’s single-game rushing mark for the second game in a row Friday. The 6-foot, 195-pound junior rushed a school-record 28 times for 268 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Jaguars shocked the Eagles with a 28-27 come-from-behind road victory.

Cooper is 2-0 after Bradley helped propel the Jaguars to a season-opening win over Shawnee with 244 yards on 16 carries.

After the dust clears from this weekend’s football games around the state, Cooper, in its second season of existence, will be one of a smattering of Class 6A teams with an unbeaten record. Bradley will be among the state’s rushing leaders with 512 yards on a whopping 11.6 yards per carry.

“He’s a very good back, and we didn’t have an answer for him,” Scott coach Dave Campbell Anderson said of Bradley. “We lost two defensive starters (defensive back Ryan Sowder and end Alex Fischesser) in this game with injuries, and I think everybody else got tired because we have so many guys who play both ways. It’s a very disappointing loss.”

Scott took the lead 20-6 with 3:05 to go in the third quarter when quarterback Zach Sowder threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to receiver Doug Patton. Sowder’s extra-point kick made it 21-6.

Granted but it's only been 1+ season for Coach Campbell. Question is will they keep him after the 3rd season. (last two head coaches only lasted 3 seasons)

I don't think its will they keep him that after three years. He won't stay there after three years. He will leave.

So you think he'll bail? Hard to change a program if you're not willing to go the distant.:kneel:
