How do you see this region playoff panning out?

I'm pretty sure Prestonsburg has home field advantage all the way to the state championship game. It's hard not to pick Prestonsburg as the team that comes out of this side of the bracket. Corbin will be a tough game for Prestonsburg though and will probably be the game that decides who takes on Fort Campbell. It's also a rematch from last years playoffs and Prestonsburg should be fired up for it.

If I where Corbin I wouldn't look past Shelby Valley at all. Valley has a big line and very talented set of backs. Corbin's defense isn't the best against the run either, so this could be a chance for Valley to redeem themselves and get another shot at Prestonsburg.

It should be a cakewalk for Prestonsburg up until the 3rd round, where they'll face either Corbin or Shelby Valley IMO.

It should go like this..

- Corbin beats Morgan County.
- Shelby Valley beats Leslie County.

Shelby Valley and Corbin will be an incredible matchup. Roberts and Hughes of Shelby Valley will be a tall task for the Redhounds to stop. We all seen what Knott Central done in the first half of the Corbin game on the ground a few weeks ago. I understand Corbin cracked down in the second half on defense in that game, but Shelby Valley has a ground attack that is probably top 5 in the Mountains. Roberts ran for nearly 200 yards and two touchdowns against a Prestonsburg defense that may be one of the quicker defenses in the Mountains. Corbin has an awesome rushing attack of their own and that's what makes this matchup so interesting. That game is really a tossup.

- Middlesboro should beat Bath County.
- Prestonsburg beats Knott Central.

Prestonsburg and Middlesboro met up last year for a defensively dominated game at Josh Francis Field. I believe the final score was 21-7 Prestonsburg. This year it will be much different. Middlesboro is a little less talented than they were a year ago and Prestonsburg has much improved. Burchett should once again go for big numbers and will lead the Blackcats to a fairly easy win at home.

So what I'm saying is, I agree guys. It should be Corbin/Shelby Valley vs. Prestonsburg in the regional championship game.

I don't think it'd be possible for Prestonsburg to get a big enough head for Mboro to beat them. They are 3-6 and WAYY WAYY down. I'm going to say its a rematch of last friday night. Prestonsburg vs. Valley in the regional championship with Prestonsburg winning by 2 TD's. But Valley HAS to come out with the same intensity they did this past friday.

We know Corbin beats Morgan and Valley beats Leslie. Prestonsburg should run away with Leslie but I think Bath should upend Middlesboro. Should be a good game. Corbin should end up with the regional win against pburg in the final.

I think the red storm may be on to something with Bath giving M'boro a run for it. I have seen them recently and they are much better than advertised.
